What age groups do you accept?

We accept children from 5 weeks to 5 years old. Each age group is placed in a developmentally appropriate room with tailored activities.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:30am-6:00pm. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays.

What is your child-to-staff ratio?

We follow the recommended guidelines:

  • Under 2’s- 1 staff per 3 children

  • 2-3 years- 1 staff per 5 children

  • Preschool- 1 staff per 8 children

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Yes, we offer nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks daily. We also accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions.

How do you accommodate naps and rest time?

We provide a quiet, comfortable space for children to rest. Sleeping schedules are based on the child’s age and needs.

How do you communicate with parents?

We use our Blossom app to share photos, updates, menus and developmental progress. Verbal communications as well as newsletters are additional ways we communicate.

How do I enrol my child?

You can start by either completing our online enquiry form or contacting our Birkenhead or New Ferry site. A member of our management team will guide you through the next steps.

What should my child bring each day?

We ask parents to bring in a bag with a change of clothes, any comforters, nappies and wipes (if necessary) and weather appropriate items (eg wellies, suncream, etc).

Do you offer part-time or shift pattern schedules?

Yes, we offer a variety of different sessions to fit around your family. Please contact us to discuss availability.

What if my child is sick?

For the safety of all children and staff, we ask that you keep your child home if they are unwell. We follow NHS guidelines and the nursery sickness policy.

How do you handle allergies or medical conditions?

We work closely with parents to develop an Individual Health Care Plan, for children with allergies or medical conditions. Our staff are trained to administer EpiPens, inhalers, and other needs.

Is outdoor play part of the day?

We prioritise outdoor play, weather permitting, in our secure, age-appropriate outdoor play areas.

Can I visit the nursery before enrolling?

Yes! We encourage prospective parents to schedule a viewing to see the setting, meet staff and ask any questions that they might have.

What qualifications do your staff hold?

All of our staff complete Mandatory training in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding which is updated when needed.

Our staff hold a variety of qualifications, including Masters Degrees, Early Years Professional Status and more. Our staff are committed to developing and are always venturing on their next professional course.

How do you help children prepare for school?

Our preschool rooms includes social and emotional development skills, communication and language skills and more to ensure a smooth transition into primary school.

Do you accept childcare vouchers or government funding?

Yes, we accept childcare vouchers, tax-free childcare, and are registered for both 15 and 30 hours of funded care where eligible.
